Chocolate Pudding Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 10 inch graham cracker crust
  • 1 family size Jello chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, optional

Directions: Prepare the pudding mix according to package directions, taking 3 cups of milk and whisking it into the mix for 2-3 minutes until you can feel that the mixture has started thickening significantly. Pour the pudding into the pie crust and refrigerate for at least a few hours before slicing and serving.

Sometimes I’ll whip cream to top the pie with but it depends on what we’re feeling like having. I’ll whip the cream to stiff peaks and top the pie when we’re serving.

Obviously this is a really easy dessert and could be done in a few different ways to make it more complex or special. You could make your own graham cracker crust or even make your own pudding.
