Chicken Patty Chicken Parm

Time: 30-40 minutes

Feeds: 2 people

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 frozen chicken patties (we prefer the Tyson brand)
  • 1 jar Rao’s pasta sauce
  • 4-6 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 6 oz any shape of pasta you like

Directions: Preheat the oven to 400 (or according to package directions for your chicken patties) and get a large pot of water on the stove to boil for your noodles. Add the chicken patties to a foil lined baking sheet and add to the oven. Bake according to package directions.

In a small saucepan, heat up the pasta sauce just until it’s warmed through. It doesn’t have to be piping hot since you’ll be adding it to the hot noodles and broiling it on the chicken.

Cook the noodles according to package directions. When they’re finished, toss them in some of the pasta sauce to keep them from sticking. It’s best to try to time out the pasta finishing close to when the chicken is done.

When the chicken patties are cooked and crispy, remove them from the oven and set the oven to broil. Spoon about 2 tbsp of sauce on each of the patties followed by some of the mozzarella cheese. Once the broiler is heated, place the patties under the broiler until the cheese has melted and is starting to brown. This should take about 2 minutes but it’s really important to keep an eye on the chicken patties while under the broiler because they can get too done quickly. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool for a couple of minutes. Serve with the pasta or some veggies on the side and enjoy!
