Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine noodles
- 8 oz diced ham
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Parmesan cheese, to finish, if desired
Directions: Put a pot of water on the stove to boil for the pasta. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a medium sauté pan over medium heat. Once melted and starting to sizzle, add the ham and sauté for a few minutes until it’s starting to develop some color and is heated through. Next, add the heavy whipping cream and bring to a strong simmer. Reduce the heat and bring down to a simmer, adding salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Let the sauce simmer and reduce while you’re cooking the pasta. If you think that it’s getting too thick, you can always add a little more heavy cream or you can use pasta water at the end. Once the pasta is done to your liking, remove from the boiling water and place directly into the Alfredo sauce. Stir to coat the pasta and let sit for another minute or so. Plate and top with parmesan cheese, if desired.
